Baked Bacon

What are some entrees that are easy to make with few ingredients?

I’m seventeen years old and I’d like to improve my diet. What are some dishes I can make myself when my family isn’t cooking for dinner (i.e. when we either eat fast food or fend for ourselves)? Is there a cookbook out there geared toward almost-college students who need to learn to cook?

Thanks.
I’m trying to go healthy, by the way. :) Just something better than greasy fast food or cereal for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

I would stock up on frozen vegetables..they have lots-broccoli, broccoli & cauliflower mix, green beans, peas, oriental mixes, italian mixes, california mixes, pea/green bean/carrot mixes..

buy a bunch of these and then you just have to make a meat-baked or steamed chicken or fish, broiled steak, fried or baked bacon, tofu, hamburger, turkey

then you can buy a bag of brown potatoes & make a baked potato in the microwave, roast them in the oven with your meat, make homefries, make mashed potatoes, twice baked potatoes

then you could say one night have:
Roasted chicken breast w/roast potatoes & roasted veggies
Broiled steak w/baked potato & green beans
Cheeseburger w/homefries & vegetable medley
Turkey burger w/peas & cheese & baked potato
BLT sandwich
Steamed fish w/steamed broccoli
Turkey loaf w/corn

i like to grill a chicken breast, steam some broccoli, make a baked potato in the microwave, cut the potato in half, spoon out the potato leaving the shells for later, mix everything together:the sliced grilled chicken, broccoli, potato flesh, throw in some mozzarella cheese & a splash of skim milk, light sour cream, and throw it all back into the potato shells..top it off with some green onions and more mozzarella if you like and throw it back in the microwave for 3 minutes…done and delicious!!!
