How should I go about this praline cheesecake?

I make the cheesecake part and now just have to do the caramel and nuts on the top. I have to take this to a party in one and a half hours. Should I melt the caramel and put nuts on it now, right before I leave, or when I get there? And if I do it now or right before I leave, how do I reheat it?

You melt the caramels over boiling water in another pan. Then add the nuts. Drizzle the caramel and nuts over the top of the cheesecake after it has been cooked and cooled . Then chill and take.
