Fun Cookies Recipes

Good cookie recipes to bake with kids?

I’m babysitting tonight; it’s usually for both a boy and a girl, but the boy isn’t going to be home tonight and I know the girl (she’s six) loves making cookies, so I was thinking we’d bake some. What are some simple, quick, fun cookie recipes? Preferably some without too much stuff in them since I don’t know what they have at their house (I usually babysit at their mom’s house, but I’m going to be at their dad’s tonight). Thanks!

I have done this one with my kids and they love that they can get their hands in it and mush mush mush!

Aggression Cookies
3 cups quick cooking oats
1½ cups flour
1½ cups brown sugar, packed
1½ cups shortening or butter
1 teaspoon salt
½ tablespoon baking soda
1½ teaspoon vanilla
Wash hands, and use them to mix together all of the ingredients in a large bowl. The more you mix, the better the cookies will be. Shape into round balls the size of a walnut and place on an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 15-17 minutes at 350° F.

Divide into 4 equal portions, and add one of the following to each portion: 1 teaspoon cinnamon, 6 ounces chocolate chips, ½ cup chopped nuts, ½ cup coconut or raisins.
