Homemade Cookie Recipes

do you think you have the best cookie recipe in the world???

I am looking for a few exceptional homemade cookie recipe’s for my X-mas cookie baskets. Any ideas???

Here are some


1 c. pumpkin
3/4 c. sugar
1/2 c. oil
1 egg
2 c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. milk
1 c. chocolate chips
1 tsp. vanilla
Nuts (optional)

Dissolve baking soda in milk; set aside. In large bowl add pumpkin, sugar, oil, and egg; stir. Add flour, baking powder, cinnamon, salt and baking soda mixture. Mix well. Stir in chocolate chips and vanilla. Spoon onto cookie sheet. Bake at 375 degrees 10 to 12 minutes or until done.


1/2 c. butter, soft
1/2 c. light brown sugar
1 c. flour
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1/8 tsp. salt
1 c. rolled oats
3/4 c. fruit only seedless raspberry jam

Heat the oven to 350 degrees. Butter an 8 inch square pan; line it with aluminum foil and then butter the foil. Mix all the ingredients together, except the jam. Press 2 cups of the mixture into the bottom of the prepared pan. Spread the jam to within 1/4 inch of the edge. Sprinkle the remaining crumb mixture over the top and lightly press it into the jam. Bake 35 to 40 minutes and allow to cool on a wire rack before cutting.


1 c. shortening
3 eggs
3 tsp. cherry juice
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. walnuts
1/2 c. cut up cherries
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
3 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 c. chopped dates
1/2 c. coconut

Cream sugar and shortening. Add eggs and beat. Add cherry juice and vanilla. Sift flour with salt and soda, save some to dust dates, cherries, and nuts. Add all and coconut. Drop by teaspoons. Bake at 300 degrees for 15 minutes.
