how much unflavored gelatin do you use when you make sugar cookies?

i found a recipe for sugar cookies and one of the ingredients was unflavored gelatin. i bought the gelatin. i can’t find the recipe online. best answer 10 points.

I have never used gelatin in my sugar cookies. You have an unusual recipe there.

Here is my recipe for sugar cookies:


2 c flour
1 c sugar
1/2 c butter
1 egg
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp vanilla

Cream butter. Add sugar. Beat egg and vanilla lightly and combine with butter mixture. Sift together flour and baking powder. Add to butter mixture. If too dry to combine into dough, add up to 1 T milk or water. Roll out to 1/8-1/4″ thick and cut into shapes or just gather the dough in a spoon and make drop cookies. Bake 8-12 minutes at 375º until slightly browned and cooked through.

Here is another, more recent recipe:


1/2 c butter (don’t substitute)
1/2 c margarine
1 1/2 c sugar
2 eggs – beaten
1 tsp vanilla
4 tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
4 c flour
3 T milk

Cream butter, margarine and sugar. Add vanilla and eggs and mix well. Stir in milk. Sift together the flour, salt and baking powder and add all at once to creamed mixture – mixing well. Roll out and cut. Bake at 400º for 6-8 minutes. Can frost with a creamy butter frosting flavored with vanilla and a little almond extract.
